Well I see by the ol deviation counter that I have once again reached that magical number that I have self imposed that denotes "Clean-up" I feel 1000 Deviations is just to damn much for anyone to go through ... even myself.
So mebbe it's time to mix it up and do some deep cleaning, make room for new Dev's and fresh Ideas .... I will initially knock down 100 then over the course of the next few weeks I'll try and take it down another 300 to 400 ... not loss but more room for me to share my pix.
I want to especially thank all my friends on DA that encourage me, that have Faved my pix, added them to journals and news posts and features ...
My head is full of ideas, some will show up here.

Everywhere is disaster , from Floods to heat to fire ... but why complain
it is the natural thing, the natural order ... the way the earth acts ... it is natures way. We think we have so much control, we're so mighty ... we tame the very elements that defined us, molded us ... made us crawl, then climb and finally .... walk erect ... until it knocks us flat.
after all that is the way of nature, that's the history of this planet.
I sit and broil during the summer, I enjoy the winters relief, I go and record natures wonders, its beauty, its details ... even in the heat.
What does it matter, why chase these things, when I ... exist for the briefest moment, not even a a blink in time ... what delusion am I afflicted with ... this pursuit of capturing time ...
All in due time I will be forgotten ... but, I take solace in the fact that so will you and everything we know ... the slate will be wiped clean, a deep freeze will see to that ... and somewhere, something slithering will crawl out of the primal slime and in the end will once again try to capture that one moment, you know the one, that will define it's own time.
until then ... I will continue my quest

I have been sick the past few days, heat related ... also we are breaking High temps as of Saturday with heat in the 105 to 107 range ... today is not much better ...
I have to be careful as it's very easy to get over heated here and when your sick it's worse ... so take care everyone ... be safe

the weekend was full of little things to photograph ... Bear Cubs, tiny Woodland Stars and many other beautiful things ... hope you all enjoy the Post Cards from Nature

100 degree weather greats me for the coming weekend ... the only green upon the valley floor is where there is farming, or the few parks and in town lawns... every thing is becoming a "California Golden Brown" ... HOT ... HOT ... HOT
