Artist's Comments

I haven't done a B&W in a long while, this is a portion of the stream that exits from "emerald pool", the water is really flowing right now as the snow melts and it replenishes the land. In a few weeks this flow will be reduced to a trickle and the pools will return to their serene reflecting surfaces ... If I could only photograph one spot this would be it, the endless face of nature lives here.
desaturated and contrast adjust a bit for slightly more punch, finally cropped to size and framed. I will soon revisit "emerald pool" for another HDR shoot. google HDR for more info

The water looks almost like hair or fur. :)

slow shutter speed records the waters movement ... that was the premise for the shot ;)

 I have waterfall and stream pictures throughout my favorites.:) I just have not had time to go to any of the falls around here since I learned about how to do it. Plus it involves lugging a tripod. ;)

And the Fuji can't take a very long exposure either.

I want a hovercraft for my camera that suspends it steadily in mid-air at a desired height using a remote control.
