a nice shot of the Male Eagle just hanging out, his mate had taken off to hunt the lake a few minutes before this picture was taken, this is my fave pair of Eagles, they're the resident pair that migrate in each year ... the Duck Hunters as I call them, they will hunt Bravo lakes ducks and coots.

Beautiful bird. I hope the work on re-establishing them on the Channel Islands helps them to increase on the mainland here too...supposedly they are starting to, but I have not seen them yet.

During the Christmas / New Year shut down, I'm planning on going to "Plum Island Refuge" on the coast... maybe I can get some Eagle pics too..thats the only spot within 200 miles of me to get any.
